Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Internet Security version 10 beta

The Austrian software manufacturer Emsisoft informs on his blog that there are BETA versions marked with the number 10 security applications for Emsisoft Anti-Malware and Internet Security.

The biggest change concerns the Emsisoft proprietary scanning engine itself, the refinement of which has significantly reduced the time of checking files for dangerous code. According to the manufacturer, the typical scanning time was + - 5 minutes (HDD or SSD - not specified), currently the same running scan profile lasts 57 seconds (SSD) - and this time can still be improved. Achieving such a good result was possible mainly due to the reconstruction of its own scanning engine and the use of the "Malware Scan" profile. This profile assumes scanning only the most frequently used folders by malware - including hence this great improvement in time.

Also new is the schedule of "intelligent scanning" - when the scheduled scanning on Friday at 17:00 can not be carried out (off / logged off, computer / system), it will start during the next system start.

Although the Emsisoft software received a distinction in terms of sending the minimum number of user information, the manufacturer decided to take care of the privacy of the customer by giving him personalization of settings such as: SSL scanning, sending reports on program errors, virus detection, etc.

For the behavioral monitor, the ability to check the harm of the process was added using the Emsisoft Anti-Malware Network service: http://www.isthisfilesafe.com/ containing over 150 million records of known and malicious programs.

To find out for yourself about new products, you should sign up for the beta tester program or send a request to provide a test version of the program. The producer claims that the final version will be released in the next few weeks. This deadline is not binding.
