G DATA supports an association working to prevent online fraud
The company G DATA, provider of solutions in the field of IT security, joined the German Competence Center against Cyber Crime (G4C). An organization fighting cybercrime was created on the initiative of financial institutions (Commerzbank, ING-DiBa and HypoVereinsbank), which combined their capabilities to fight online threats. G4C works with the support of German police agencies responsible for network security.
"The participation of G DATA makes our organization even more powerful, because the Bochum company specializes in the protection of online banking and can demonstrate a high level of knowledge in this area." - notes Heiko Wolf, G4C board member and head of Information Risk Management at ING-Diba.
" We are honored that we are the first company outside the financial sector that became a partner of G4C. We fully share the organization's conviction that the fight against cybercrime is effective only when companies from various market areas engage in it. It is worth knowing that today's anti-virus protection is a much wider concept than just detecting malware. Together with G4C, we want to stop cybercrime, which is certainly worth every effort, " argued Andreas Lüning, a member of the G DATA board.
By joining G DATA as a partner to the G4C organization, the relationships of the IT security leader will be significantly strengthened, which means a higher level of security of transactions carried out by Internet users.
The independent German Competence Center against Cyber Crime (G4C) is a competence center specializing in the fight against cybercrime. It brings together experts, creates an early warning system and is a platform for the exchange of knowledge about cyber threats. In addition, it strengthens the network of initiatives to prevent cybercrime in Germany. Founders and founders are three large financial institutions - Commerzbank, ING-DiBa and HypoVereinsbank.
