Bearing in mind the important role of devices in an average home, Kaspersky Lab has introduced updated versions of Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security, to help people take care of your equipment in the same way as they take care of loved ones and pets homemade, with whom they live under one roof.
Currently the number of devices in every home exceeds the number of occupants in people and animals. What's more, these devices are playing an increasingly important role in the life of the home and are used in virtually all areas, from browsing the Internet when shopping or share videos and photos. However, this increased connectivity also raise security concerns, the more that, as is apparent from the index Kaspersky Cybersecurity Index — two-fifths (39%) people still does not protect your device against cyber threats, such as attacks cybercriminals, malicious software or fraud.
The latest versions of solutions Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security are designed to ensure the protection of the modern household, to help the people duly take care of your devices connected to the Internet and every aspect of your digital life.
If the hosts woke up, probably are online
The average household, on which there are 6.3 equipment, spends a great part of the day online, and the more people use the Internet, the greater the risk that they hit the malicious program or an infected Web page. In its annual study of Kaspersky Lab found that 63% of Internet users fear messages and phishing websites. Taking into account these concerns, Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security feature in phishing technology that protects against fraudulent or unwanted messages, trumped-up websites and scams. In addition, the updated filter Web addresses, informs the user via a pointer, or a link in a search engine leads to trustworthy, suspicious, malicious or phishing website or such that may harm your computer.
Valuable data under the protection of the
In addition to concerns about fraudulent Web sites users care about also losing information stored on their devices, pointing out photos as the most valuable data. Confirm that the results of the survey conducted by Kaspersky Lab: it was found that for many people, the loss of photos is more stressful than breaking up with a partner or animal disease.
Because Internet users perceive your own data as extremely valuable, more than half (56%) of them worried that they may be encrypted for ransom. These fears probably will increase after the recent epidemic of ransomware, WannaCry , and ExPetr (NotPetya/Petya). For this reason, Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security software protection contain ransomware, which has been updated to combat even the most sophisticated malicious code.
Every family wants to keep its secrets for himself, however, in today's era of household 2.0 our privacy is often compromised. That's why people fear that their data can fall into the wrong hands, the more that some of the information stored on the devices are so sensitive that 44% of users would not want to have someone saw them. To no one except the owner did not have access to private data, the new application blocking feature designed for Android offers an additional layer of protection in the form of a secret code. When gaining access to someone else's phone, the wrong person will not be able to view the specific applications, such as instant messaging, social networking, email, or other tools containing sensitive information. Users will also be able to use the service "secure connection" (Kaspersky Secure Connection), integrated with Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Internet Security that encrypts all traffic while you use the unsecured (e.g.) a Wi-Fi network.
Children are also online
In addition to the obvious concerns about data security and the privacy of its users household 2.0 brings with it concerns of the most vulnerable members of the family, who more and more often connect to the Internet. 60% of people worried that their children may have uncontrolled access to inappropriate online content. Therefore, the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security includes the proven features of parental control. Thanks to them, the parents can specify time limits for the use of specific devices in the household, to limit the applications that can be used by children, and block access to sites containing adult content, vulgar language whether the information about drugs and much more — all in the service of Kaspersky Safe Kids.
Our equipment affect how we live both we and our family. Allow us to connect, learn, communicate and perform the necessary transactions from anywhere. Improve our lives, so it is no surprise that in the new era of household 2.0 on one House there are more devices than humans and animals. However, our research shows that continuous connectivity brings with it the natural concerns about online safety — from fear that you fall victim of fraud, after the anxiety associated with the content, to which they have access online our children. These concerns we have included in the latest versions of Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security. These are the security solutions that provide a smarter way of taking care of the digital world without interfering in their comfort using the Internet — said Elena Karczenko, head of consumer products Management Department, Kaspersky Lab.
