Kaspersky together with F-Secure, ESET and Trend Micro will protect Facebook users

Kaspersky Malware Scanner joins the initiative to protect Facebook users from malicious software. The Russian manufacturer is already the fourth supplier of a free online scanner, previously scanners F-Secure, Trend Micro and ESET have been integrated with the Facebook social platform.

Thanks to the cooperation of Facebook and the largest antivirus companies in the world, we have developed a solution that, if you suspect that you have infected your user account, will ask you to scan your own settings and added applications for suspicious behavior, malicious URLs (phishing, scam, malicious site) or modified settings that they may seriously violate the privacy of the account holder.

The most important information for the users themselves is that each product contains various malware signatures, so the potential threat will be able to detect much faster. During the scan, the user will be able to use the social platform as before. After completing the scan operation, the received report will help you solve your security and privacy problems.

Facebook boasts that thanks to cooperation with F-Secure, Trend Micro and ESET in the last three months, over 2 million accounts have been identified that the infected device was logged on to.
