Orange Mobile Threat Protection: Check Point and Orange join forces

Orange Cyberdefense, a division of the Orange Group specializing in cybersecurity and Check Point Software Technologies have joined forces and created a new Orange Mobile Threat Protection service. The service is intended to support international organizations in protecting their mobile devices from threats that already exist or will only appear.

The frequency of mobile attacks is growing, and each of us is a potential target. Business processes are increasingly being carried out on mobile devices, which significantly increases the probability of a network attack or infection. A recent Dimensional Research report has shown that two out of ten companies have experienced a mobile cyber attack, and even more do not even realize they have been attacked.

Based on Check Point Sandblast Mobile technology, Mobile Threat Protection is a service managed by Orange. It protects your device by accurately detecting threats and alerts you of attacks without affecting device performance and battery life. The service works on iOS and Android platforms and is not associated with any particular operator. The administration panel gives a global view of the security of the fleet of mobile devices and provides a detailed analysis of threats.

Mobile Threat Protection can detect next-generation malware, along with vulnerabilities in networks, operating systems and applications, as well as SMS phishing. Protects mobile devices against a wide range of attacks, including malicious applications, "man-in-the-middle" attacks on violated public Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, operating system exploits. Responds to the rapidly growing trend of sending malicious links via SMS.

Orange Mobile Threat Protection can be used as a standalone service managed to improve the visibility of threats, which allows companies to properly adapt security policies or integrate them directly with mobile device management solutions. This includes the Orange Device Management Premium service, administered by EMM, which enables enterprises to manage mobile deployments and enforce company data security policies using a granular compliance engine. Both services are operated by mobile Orange experts who provide round-the-clock assistance and training to improve end-user awareness of secure confidential data management.
