Targeted Cyberattacks Logbook project - information on the most advanced cybercriminal operations
Kaspersky Lab Polska announces the launch of a Polish-language version of an interactive online service that collects information on the most advanced cybercriminal operations. The Targeted Cyberattacks Logbook project allows you to view real-time information on cybercriminals' activities monitored and analyzed by the Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT) operating in Kaspersky Lab.
"A few years ago, targeted cybercamps could be treated as one-off, sporadic activities of criminals, but now there are more and more such operations, and some of them are interconnected and attacking very high-level victims. These threats require special attention and for this reason we decided to launch the Polish language version of the online service, where it is possible to show the scale of advanced cybercriminals' activities, "said Maciej Ziarek , IT security expert, Kaspersky Lab Poland.
Currently, the portfolio of the Global Research and Analysis Team from Kaspersky Lab covers several years of research on several dozen serious targeted attacks, including advanced campaigns such as Carbanak , Regin , Darkhotel and Cloud Atlas . With the Targeted Cyberattacks Logbook, anyone can conduct their own investigations, discover the links between these operations, and observe the trends and impact of cybercriminals.
Every cyber attack is presented on the timeline as a ship - the larger the unit, the longer the cyberoperation works. The wave behind the ship maps the time from the detection of the first malware samples used in a given campaign to publish the analysis results. The number of victims is shown using the color.
The site allows you to observe the links between various cybercampaigns and to view detailed information about each of them, including the geography of the infection, the ways of spreading malicious programs, cybercriminals' goals and special functions of the attack. Built-in filter allows you to sort attacks by categories, so you can focus on, for example, cybercriminals targeted at private companies operating in a specific country.
Targeted Cyberattacks Logbook is available at https://apt.securelist.com/pl . For more information on cybercriminals' activities, including complete analyzes of malicious programs, please visit SecureList.pl, run by Kaspersky Lab.
